Welcome to the website for the Tampa General Medical Group (TGMG), a division of Tampa General Hospital.  TGMG physicians specialize in organ transplantation, cardiology, nephrology (kidney disease), hepatology (liver disease), digestive disorders, and surgery.

 

TGMG was formed in October, 2010 by the group of physicians that were once part of The Lifelink Transplant Institute. So while our name may be new, we have a long history of providing quality medical care in a wide variety of specialties.

 

We developed this site so that you can become familiar with TGMG. It includes information about our physicians, how to become at patient at TGMG, insurance information, directions to our offices, and other useful information.

 

We strongly believe that you as the patient are the MVP of your health care team. So, this site includes statistics about transplant survival rates, and videos of some of our surgical procedures that may not be familiar to you, such as myotomy, a procedure to correct a blockage that occurs at the point where the esophagus meets the stomach.
