TGH has partnered with The American Cancer Society to help our community commit to quit use of tobacco products (Tobacco products can include cigarettes, snuff, dip, and vaping). We know quitting is hard, we have laid out these resources on this page to help you commit to quit and offer the support you need to help you succeed.
GREAT AMERICAN SMOKE OUT
November 18th is the 46th annual Great American Smokeout® (GASO). GASO is an opportunity to commit to a smoke- and tobacco-free life – not just for a day, but year-round. Learn more at the Great American Smoke Out.
HOW TO PLAN TO QUIT SMOKING
Encourage someone you know to make a plan to quit and initiate a smoking cessation plan during the Great American Smokeout® event, November 18, 2021. There is no better time to quit, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CDC lists smoking as one of the conditions that might put a person at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.

Quitting smoking is a process, and success may look different for different people. There are many ways to quit smoking, and some work better than others. The American Cancer Society can tell you about the steps you can take to quit smoking and help you find quit-smoking programs, resources, and support that can increase your chances of quitting successfully. SIGN UP FOR AN ONLINE CLASS TO HELP YOU QUIT
TGH offers access to tobacco cessation programs, for free! The Tools to Quit program is to help participants learn about preparing to quit, skills to deal with nicotine cravings and dealing with slips. Tools to Quit classes are offered in English and Spanish. Participants will receive free patches, gum, or lozenges, if medically appropriate.
