TGH Home Care powered by VNA of Florida provides a full range of home care services for TGH patients, as well as those in the community needing home care. As Tampa Bay's only Level I Trauma Center, TGH is equipped to care for the most critically ill and injured patients with dedicated resources available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide a comprehensive range of emergency services that cater to the immediate and critical needs of patients at: TGH Wallace Trauma Center, TGH Outpatient Emergency Center, TGH Kennedy Emergency Center, and Orthopaedic Trauma. From acute injuries and severe illnesses to cardiac events, respiratory distress, and expert care for severe musculoskeletal injuries, our adult emergency services aim to provide timely and comprehensive care to patients.
Tampa General Hospital is one of just five burn centers in Florida to have earned Verification by the American Burn Association/American College of Surgeons and one of only two ABA-verified adult and pediatric burn centers in Florida. The center treats critically burned patients from emergency admission through rehabilitation, treating more than 500 adult burn patients and about 300 pediatric burn patients each year.
TGH Prevention Response Outreach (TPRO) is a consulting service provided by Tampa General Hospital that will offer the hospital’s expertise in infection prevention to organizations in Tampa Bay and beyond. Tampa General Hospital provides a fully equipped first aid onsite station staffed with a team of medical professionals. Being prepared for an emergency is crucial when participating or working at an event or in the field. With the potential for unexpected accidents, having a first aid station on-site at your workplace or at an event will decrease the costs and time of sending employees offsite to the emergency center. Our first aid triage services offer clinical experts that are trained in triaging injuries and recommending the most appropriate care.
