Continuing Medical Education:

What's the onboarding process?

What is TGH’s onboarding process for new employees?

Our onboarding process is partially remote, allowing new hires to complete all documents virtually and conduct their occupational health appointment in person. New hire providers will also go through our medical staff credentialing process before their start date.

Does TGH have an orientation program for new hires?

To provide a warm welcome and familiarize our new employees with our organization, we offer a full-day New Team Member Orientation program. The core concepts of this program include:

Does Tampa General pay for malpractice?

Malpractice is covered for all employed providers by Tampa General.

STARK Law, also known as the Physician Self- Referral Law, is a U.S. federal law designed to prevent conflicts of interest in healthcare by stopping physicians from referring patients to medical services or providers in which they have a financial interest. The Anti- Kickback Statue is a statute that prohibits offering, paying, soliciting, or receiving anything of value in exchange for referring or recommending healthcare services that are federally funded like Medicare and Medicaid.
